+Thomas Eliopulos Hey Thomas, I’m not sure why that would have happened
unless you are using a different theme than the 2012 theme as different
themes have different options. Changing the background color shouldn’t
make that option disappear. You might need to look around at some of the
other option settings to see if it has moved elsewhere.
Hello thank you for posting this video its been super helpful! I did have a
few questions though, I am not sure why we need to subscribe to the
hostgator site? Is it used for more storage? And by using hostgator does it
waive the fees from the wordpress website or is the hostgator fees an
additional cost along with the wordpress fees? (Since I got the free
wordpress blog to test it out) I was trying to follow along but I did not
have the background option or header option under the appearance tab. I am
not sure if this happened because I got the free wordpress option or does
this have to do with the theme options?
Thanks,
Gabby
Thanks A lot! I am a tech retart, but was able to follow along with no
problem. The instructions were succinct, your voice quality damn near
broadcast radio quality, and there were no assumptions of what I knew like
in other videos as I know nothing. Again Great Instructions!
Josh,
Thank you this video was extremely helpful.
I was wondering how I could put the search bar into the menu (aligned
right)? And/or adding the widget “simple social icons” into the menu
(aligned right). Thank you!
Josh:
Enjoying and learning from your excellent WP videos.
I have a question. Do you know of a WP plugin where I could make my own
custom border from an image, similar to what I saw you do with Subtile
Patterns?
Another question, do you know of a good plugin to change a menu (button)
bar.
Thanks. J.R.
may i ask you a question … look i tried making a page but the url doesnt
change and the background and the picture nothing changessss
Hi, This is wonderful. I do already have a site. I want to replace or
rework on my present design. So how do I do that?
Is it normal to have to pay for a domain name when all your doing is making
a trial website for a company? Also, aren’t some features restricted unless
you upgrade to pro or something like that?
Terrific stuff. Thanks for posting the tutorial.
I cannot thank you enough for this! I do have one question, though….I am
trying to change my front page so it doesn’t have the white background. I
can see how to change the font color, but not the page. I’m not talking
about the fixed background, but the part I write on. If I sound absolutely
basic, it is because I am with this! BTW, I found the color I want #3b3131
but I have no clue where to add it exactly. Every time I add it the code
comes on the page, not the color. BTW, I am using the twenty fourteen
theme. Thank you thank you thank you
Hi wpSculptor!
What an amazing tutorial. Thanks so much. With this tutorial I could build
a trial website for a client using WP for the first time in my life… I
have only one question. When I installed WP it automatically created a
directory “www.mysite.com/wordpress” and all the files are in
httpdocs/wordpress. What steps should I follow so that my site opens on
http://www.mysite.com?
I have used Twenty Twelve theme. just like this tutorial. Is there any way
I can use a “FOOTER” like “Origami” theme showing blog categories and other
stuff? Or do I have to use Origami theme and build all my pages?
Thanks a million for such a great video lesson. I have limitations as I am
basically a graphic designer…and I don’t know much coding except basic
Html CSS. and some Dreamweaver. Your tutorial provided a lot of confidence
and joy of learning new things.
Thanks once again.
Thanks so much for helping me create a website. I took out the section for
making a comment, and want to add that ability back to the three posts I’ve
already published. I went to Discussion and checked the box to allow
comments. I also don’t see the the allow comments after clicking edit on
each post. Please instruct how to do this.
You are a god send, I don’t believe in God but If I did I would say you
were him. Before I started this crap I didn’t even know what a domaine was.
Thanks to you I am on my way to a beautiful website. There is no way I
could thank you enough. I’m not even joking when I say I was in tears
yesterday over this. I am only 30 mins into your video but in that 30 mins
I have been able to accomplish more than I have in two days and I
understand what I’m doing. Thank thank thank you. Also I have a lot of
girls that need help setting up a WordPress for our their business and I
will be sending them to you. Xoxoxox.

Your tutorial is quite beneficial. Those who are looking for a perfect
#theme generator this advance software #TemplateToaster is a perfect choice
that I have found recently. This #software is highly recommended for the
Beginners and Professional #Designers for creating a great piece of
themes as well as rich #websites.
How would I get rid of the “Show Thumbnails” hyper link?
amazing video very informative. Thank you
Hey there,
@Raj- You can use a footer widget for this.
@Sasha- There isn’t one in the settings, but you can either use a footer
widget to add it manually, or you can use a social icons plugin.
Have brought Traffica Theme. but how to remove widgetized footer?
This was a very good training video. Thanks.
Hi Great tutorial! I have removed the side bar. Like Bridget I cannot get
rid of the bottom grey area footer. Where do I get the blank text widget?
Thanks again
Can someone help with the following problem? I bought my domain from
namecheap and the host from hostgator. Earlier today I installed WordPress
as shown in this video, and now, although five hours or so have, I still
get an error when I enter the link in the Admin Area…
I removed all of the widgets from the primary widget area, but it is still
showing the categories, search bar, archives and comments. See recording

What am I doing wrong?
nice work man…..thanks for understanding the basics o word press very
easily
I’ve started using ‘LocalBusiness’ theme and would appreciate knowing how
to get rid of the ‘read more..’ buttons and links on the front page
One of the most useful tutorials on WP I have seen. Thank you for taking
the time to teach at the “Newbie” level!
I have been looking for a Tutorial that explains everything. You Sir have
it. Thank You for taking the time to make these tutorials. Very easy to
follow and very detailed, Thank You once again keep up the good work
Hi again. If I may ask a quick question please….. I am trying to changes
the second image in the Slider Setting (under theme options) and it wont
change from the original one i uploaded…any suggestions? Thanks so much
This is an awesome tutorial! I appreciate your easy to understand training
style. I am using the Traffica theme that you suggested, but I can’t seem
to locate the tutorial for removing the grey area at the bottom of the page
that lists “About Us, Our Pages, Use of Widgets, and Search Anything”.
Can you tell me where I would remove/edit these fields in WPress?
Hello WebsiteWiz! I am having some problems. I already created a domain and
already had a WordPress account before I did this tutorial.
So basically I already have a wordpress password before I even got my
wordpress password from QuickInstall.
So I went to QuickInstall Link and tried logging into wordpress with the
password it gave me, but I couldn’t. So I used my original password and was
able to get in.
I went to Appearance > Themes… I CANT add any downloaded themes 🙁 Any
tips?
